The Admissions process is designed to give ample opportunity for prospective students and families to connect with St. Andrew’s faculty and staff. Our Admission Office team is available to assist you should you have questions regarding the admission process or any aspect of school life. While our deadline is January 31st, we strongly encourage all interested students to begin the process as early as possible. Please allow ample time to complete the application, tour and interview on our campus, and for St. Andrew’s to receive all the required application materials.
Please note that admission requirements vary slightly based on program (Middle School, Upper School, International Students, and Learning Services), so please review each step below.
Please feel free to contact the Office of Admissions at 401-246-1230 should you have questions.
Steps for completing the Admissions Process
Step 1 - INQUIRE:
Let us know you’re interested by completing the online inquiry form.
Step 2 - VISIT US:
Register for an Open House event or call the Admission Office to schedule a visit. An on-campus interview is a required part of the application process. For students who live outside of the U.S., please contact the admission office to arrange a SKYPE interview.
Step 3 - APPLY:
1. APPLY ONLINE - St. Andrew’s accepts the Standard Application Online offered through SSAT. You will need to create an account through SSAT to submit your application and upload documents. The recommendation forms (English, Math, and Transcript) can be submitted securely online by providing SSAT with email addresses for the teachers/administrators to whom you want the link sent.
2. DOWNLOAD FORMS - If you prefer, you may download the application and required forms (PDF). Please enclose the $50.00 application fee ($100 for international applicants) when you return the completed forms.
3. REQUEST A PAPER APPLICATION - Paper applications may be mailed to you. Please contact the admissions office at 401-246-1230 and request a paper application form.
Step 4 - SUPPLEMENTAL APPLICATION MATERIALS
International students are required to submit test results from the TOEFL or TOEFL Jr., in addition to results from the SSAT (Secondary School Admission Test). Students applying to the Learning Services Program must submit additional information specific to the program to which they are applying. However, all programs require current educational testing information (within eighteen months) that includes a WISC, the Test of Written Language, and relevant achievement data such as the Woodcock Johnson Achievement Test. Additionally, a day visit is required of applicants to our Learning Service Program
Step 5 - APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID (IF NEEDED):
Families who apply to St. Andrew's and are requesting Financial Aid must complete a financial aid application by February 1. All applicants who apply after February 1 will be considered on a funds available basis. Select Tuition and Financial Aid for more information about this process.
Step 6 - NOTIFICATION:
Parents and students who complete the admissions process by January 31, will receive notification of the admission committee decision by March 10.
