Q. What percentage of your students go on to college after graduation? Where do they go?
A. 100% of our graduating seniors go on to college. Click here to see a list of schools our graduates have attended in recent years. Wherever they go to college, our graduates tell us they are well prepared for higher-level education.
Q. Do you have a dress code?
A. Yes. Students must wear khaki or black pants (young women may substitute a knee-length skirt in black or khaki) and a solid color shirt with collar or turtleneck. A v-neck or crew-neck sweater may be worn over a collared shirt. There are a number of relaxed dress code days throughout the school year, and a Spring dress code that allows for appropriate shorts. Students may wear jeans with a collared shirt on previously announced "Dress Down Days".
Q. How are parents kept up-to-date on their students’ progress at St. Andrew’s?
A. All students have a faculty adviser, with whom they meet every morning and every afternoon. Advisers, whose primary concern is the individual success of their advisees, are available to the students, their parents, and their teachers throughout the year. In addition, every two to three weeks, advisers communicate with parents about students’ progress. Each quarter, parents receive a report card, which includes a progress report from each teacher. Parents are also able to keep current by logging in to NetClassroom
Q. Do you offer financial assistance?
A. Yes. During the 2010-2011 school year, 37% of our students received Financial Aid. To apply for Aid, parents must fill out a Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS) through School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS) and submit a copy of their current Federal tax return and W-2 forms.
