Theater

As in all aspects of St. Andrew’s School life, students are encouraged to stretch themselves and explore the various aspects of the art of theater. This could be as simple as working on public speaking skills or as involved as taking on the lead in a play. In any case we want to inspire self-confidence and provide students a safe environment in which to try different things.

The Theater curriculum is varied with courses ranging from Theater I to Advanced Theater. In addition, there are programs offered by ACT at St. Andrew’s that provide a wide range of theater opportunities beyond the classroom and school plays.

Theater Performances for 2012-2013

Spring Production - "MacBeth"
St. Andrew's adaptation of Shakespeare’s final tragedy, geared for high school students, is filled with the great Shakespearean elements: murder, witches, and insanity and the audience and actors alike are together on the stage for a unique and intimate theatrical experience.

Theater Showcase - "Laugh Until You BB6"
The BB6 is a student-based comedy group performing a night of original comedy combined with short-form improvisation. It’s a fast-paced production that will leave you breathless.
