Welcome from the Director of Admissions

Welcome to St. Andrew’s and our extraordinary learning community. Our Middle and Upper School program includes twice-daily advising sessions and small classes that boast 7 to 12 students. The Lower School, comprised of Grades 3–5, has between 5 and 10 students per grade. Our faculty is trained to identify students’ individual learning styles and to capitalize on their personal strengths. Together, our small classes, in-depth Advising Program, and talented teachers help students transform their assets into classroom success.

Our School has recently experienced significant growth in both enrollment and facilities. Included in our recent expansion are a new science and math center, a new library/research center, and a first-class gymnasium. Also added, is the McCulloch Center for the Arts which houses a 300-person auditorium and new classrooms for visual arts, computer graphics, theatre, and musical instruction. St. Andrew’s also recently opened our new Fitness Center, complete with a weight training room and state of the art cardiovascular equipment. Perhaps our most exciting endeavor of late however, is the addition of our Lower School. Hardy Hall has undergone significant renovations to accommodate the addition of our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades, which, as previously mentioned, will include no more than 10 students each. These new facilities symbolize our ongoing commitment to nurturing and celebrating each student’s unique talents.

Accompanying the expansion of our physical plant are myriad benefits and opportunities for students. However, our ongoing relationship with the School’s Attuned program has the greatest impact. This groundbreaking program is the backbone of our faculty’s classroom methodology. Each teacher is trained to teach using a multi-sensory approach to address the different ways students learn. Since 2002, St. Andrew’s continues to maintain the distinction of being one of only a select few “Exemplary Schools” nationwide.

Above all else, St. Andrew’s is a family. As a member of this family, each student is valued for the unique gifts he or she brings. Our close-knit community is one of the major characteristics that students tell us they love about our School. Here, your student will not “get lost in the crowd”; instead, he or she will become a noted addition to our student body.
