St. Andrew's empowers students to discover their unique value and embrace their full potential.

The Chapin Tradition

The Rev. William Merrick Chapin founded St. Andrew's School in 1893 to house and educate orphan boys. His legacy is the Chapin Tradition, an ethos of kindness, acceptance, and triumph that honors our Episcopal heritage and fosters and inclusive environment for people of various faiths and beliefs.

We are committed to serving more students in more ways and in more places.

St. Andrew’s Board of Trustees adopted a new multi-year Strategic Plan in June 2025 that aligns with the school’s mission to empower students to discover their unique value and embrace their full potential. This forward-thinking plan is designed to enhance the school’s educational impact through expansion, innovative institutional partnerships, new learning programs, cultivation of global perspectives, and alternative pathways, while affirming our values and maintaining a clear institutional identity rooted in belonging and excellence.
