On April 5, 2019, our dear friend Steve Waters passed away after a long illness. To honor Steve and his dedicated service to the school, the family has asked that donations be directed to the Stephen G. Waters Scholarship Fund. All donations up to $11,000 will be matched by a generous, anonymous donor who is committed to strengthening the fund and its support of the St. Andrew’s students.
Mr. Waters was St. Andrew's fifth Headmaster and faithfully served the school from 1970-1991. During his tenure, Steve guided the school through a number of foundational changes, including welcoming young women in 1981, developing a learning service program, and creating a retirement plan for faculty all while staying true to the essence of the school and the mission of Father Chapin.
