Where every student finds their voice
The arts at St. Andrew’s are not an elective, they are essential. From the studio to the stage, we believe that creating art builds the same skills as any rigorous academic pursuit: discipline, risk-taking, collaboration, and the courage to put something real into the world.
Art as a way of knowing
Our arts program is built on the belief that creative expression is a fundamental form of human intelligence. We teach our students to think, feel, and communicate through their chosen medium, helping them to learn how to collaborate, take risks, and develop their artistic voice. Every student at St. Andrew's has the opportunity to discover an art form that speaks to them and to grow within it at their own pace, with real mentorship from practicing artists.
Visual Arts
Visual Arts at St. Andrew’s invites students to explore how images can express ideas, perspectives, and experiences through a variety of media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, fiber arts, and digital media.
Theatre
Theatre at St. Andrew's is about more than memorizing lines — it's about collaboration, communication, and being fully seen. Students can also learn technical theatre to bring the productions to life backstage.
Music
Music at St. Andrew's spans performance, songwriting and composition, live sound engineering, music production and technology, and more — giving students a complete picture of what it means to be a musician.
Dance
Dance at St. Andrew's is a discipline of the whole self — physical, emotional, and expressive. Students learn the fundamentals of dance, as well as choreography.
The arts are meant to
be experienced live.
Throughout the year, St. Andrew’s students showcase their creative and artistic talents in performing arts productions, visual art exhibitions, and other events that are open to our whole community.

Happy White Visiting Artist
St. Andrew’s hosts a Happy White Visiting Artist on campus every school year for a week-long residency to work with our students. Through the generous support of the White Family, these visiting professional artists share their artmaking process with our students, introducing them to new techniques, mediums, and creative styles.
National Art Honor Society
St. Andrew's has a chapter of National Art Honor Society (NAHS) and National Junior Art Honor Society (NJAHS) for students committed to making the world more beautiful through art and service.
