Where Home Meets Belonging
Our boarding students come from across the region and around the world and immediately find welcoming peers and experienced teachers, all of whom work conscientiously to make a challenging transition easier. And in return, our boarders gift our community with fresh perspectives and a national and global awareness that infuses our lessons and conversations.
Our boarding atmosphere bonds our students into a tightly knit learning community, which empowers everyone to rise to greater expectations and meet higher academic standards.

A Home Away from Home
Residential students are housed in one of four dorms on campus, which all include faculty residences, spacious common rooms, study spaces, laundry facilities, and kitchens. Most of our dorm rooms are doubles with a few singles and triples also available. Rooms are fully furnished and ready for students to make them their own!
Dorm Parents
Each dorm is headed by dorm parents who help students develop practical life, social, and community-living skills while fostering a safe and fun environment for all residents. Dorm parents also organize regular fun activities and gatherings for residents from craft and game nights to midnight pancakes.
They are aided by returning residential students with demonstrated leadership skills who offer mentorship and support to their peers as student proctors.
Community Dinners
Our Dining Services team hosts special themed dinners for our residential community throughout the school year to celebrate the various cultures and holidays of our students, faculty, and staff.
Organized by student leaders, these dinners feature traditional dishes prepared by our Dining Hall, games or crafts, and opportunities to connect over conversation, laughter, and delicious food.
Residential Spaces
There are four Residential Spaces on campus at St. Andrew's including Bill's House, Margot's House, Perry Hall, and Coleman House.
Fully renovated and expanded in 2014, Bill’s House (1972) is home to 40 boys and includes three faculty residences. Airy common rooms, study spaces, laundry facilities, and a full kitchen make this dorm feel like home.
Margot’s House (1970) underwent renovation and expansion in 2013 and is now a beautiful residence for 30 girls and three faculty families.
Centrally located on the Quad, Perry Hall (1927) is a small residence for underclassmen and upperclassmen boarding students and two faculty members. In 2024, Perry received new carpeting and furniture upgrades.
Coleman House (1900) is a home-like setting for underclassmen and upperclassmen boarding students and two faculty families. This historic house is located near the eastern entrance to the main campus. In 2025, Coleman received new carpeting and furniture upgrades.
