St. Andrew’s provides a wide range of services designed to support students throughout their experience on campus. From dining and transportation to health and wellness, counseling, and everyday school needs, these resources help create a supportive and welcoming environment for every student. Students have access to the care, guidance, and practical support they need to feel at home, stay healthy, and fully engage in life at St. Andrew’s.

Dining
A welcoming place to gather, Gardiner Dining Hall is rich in history with beautiful wood-paneled walls and a brick fireplace.
Professional dining services are provided by Flik Independent School Dining and feature a diversified menu of nutritional options daily. Flik has partnered with St. Andrew's to customize a program that meets the needs of our community.
Chefs use fresh local ingredients and world-class culinary techniques to provide our students with healthy, innovative menus. From colorful salad bars to homemade soups, our dining hall is a source of pride and values. Dining services are overseen by Chef Jason Trahan.
Health & Wellness
St. Andrew's School is committed to the physical, mental, and emotional health of all of its students.
Health and counseling services are located in the Adams Student Services Center, which houses a nurses office and treatment center, a counseling office, and a room with three beds to care for students who become ill at school. The Center is staffed by a full-time registered nurse (R.N.), a full-time licensed mental health counselor (LMHC), on-call nurses for after-school hours, and an on-call school doctor.
In addition to providing information on physical and mental health through classes and information sessions, the Center provides annual flu shots, vaccinations for graduating seniors, specific group sessions, and health referral services. Students are required to keep all medications with the school nurse, who is available from 7:30am through the end of the school day.
St. Andrew’s is fortunate to be located directly across the street from the Barrington Public Services Building, where EMTs are readily available. Finally, there are several excellent hospitals in Providence, a short 15-minute drive, that have a national reputation for helping young people.
Bullying Reporting Form
If a member of the community witnesses any act of bullying or cyberbullying, they can report it anonymously using this reporting form.
Student Support
The school counselor is available to students to support them emotionally, socially, and academically. The staff also facilitates conflict resolution for both individuals and small groups. Some of the most common issues that students have shared include friendship/relationship issues, anxiety and stress management, and depression.
Our staff relies on best practices in the counseling field to assess any risk for students and determine the necessary response to protect their safety.
Family Support
The counseling staff is also available to parents for support related to their children. Parents may call to ask questions, express a concern or request, or ask that a member of the staff check in with their daughter or son.
Additionally, the staff is always happy to provide additional resources on any subjects like anxiety, stress management, ADHD, etc.
Transportation
Statewide Transportation
Students from participating school districts who are eligible to use the statewide transportation system next year must annually request transportation through the statewide website at https://www.eride.ri.gov/transparForm/.

RIPTA
St Andrew’s Upper School students who live in Providence are eligible for the same free RIPTA bus pass that public high school students get.

School Delays & Closures
St. Andrew’s uses the Rave Mobile Safety emergency notification system to send text, email, and phone call alerts to families. Delays and closures are also listed via Rhode Island Broadcasters Association.
Residential Student Transportation
St. Andrew’s School is happy to provide our residential families with shuttle services to and from Boston’s Logan (BOS) Airport and Providence (PVD) Airport at the beginning and end of each school-recognized break.
For All Residential Student Arrivals from School Breaks:
St. Andrew’s will offer two different shuttle options on the date of arrival/dorm opening following a school break (Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break, and March Break). Shuttle times from Boston’s Logan airport are as follows: 1:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. A St. Andrew’s staff member will be located at the information desk of Terminal E. Shuttle times from Providence’s TF Green airport can be scheduled based on students’ itineraries.
St. Andrew’s cannot guarantee shuttle services outside of these times. Shuttles outside of these times will be assessed a fee. It is important that students travel on designated travel days. Any travel that takes place outside the announced dates must be approved to be excused from academic consequences.
For All Residential Student Departures:
St. Andrew’s will offer two different shuttle options on the date of departure/dorm closure (typically a morning and evening shuttle). Shuttle times will be scheduled based on students’ flight itineraries. In addition, we will provide a single shuttle the morning after the stated departure date that will leave campus at 9:00 a.m.* When planning, please make every effort to travel on the announced dates. Any academic classes or assignments missed due to unapproved travel may impact a student’s academic standing. (*Students who stay on campus overnight to catch the 9:00 a.m. shuttle will be charged a housing fee of $50.)
