Transportation Services

St. Andrew’s provides the following transportation services for our day and residential students.

Statewide Transportation
Students from participating school districts who are eligible to use the statewide transportation system next year must annually request transportation through the statewide website at https://www.eride.ri.gov/transparForm/. Transportation requests will open soon for Fall 2024. Both current and new riders must register by July 31. Please call TransPar at 401-304-9136 or email them at [email protected] with any questions.

For school delays and closures, St. Andrew’s uses the SwiftK12 emergency notification system to send text, email, and phone call alerts to families. Delays and closures are also listed via Rhode Island Broadcasters Association.

New Morning Transportation Options
For the 2024-2025 school year, in partnership with Moses Brown School and Wheeler School, St. Andrew’s School will be providing direct morning transportation service along two routes. There will not be an afternoon or evening bus and there is a fee for this service.

2024-2025 Morning Bus Information:

  • The "northern" route will have 4 stops with the northernmost stop being the Shaw's Plaza on the Foxboro/Sharon Line (Exit 8), and additional stops in Foxboro, North Attleboro and Cumberland.
  • The "southern" route will have 3 stops with the southernmost stop being at the Holiday Inn in South Kingstown with additional stops in Saunderstown and Warwick.
  • Exact pick-up locations are being finalized and are subject to change.
  • Sign-ups will go live in late-April, and spots will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • The annual cost will be finalized prior to the sign-up date. The transportation agreement will be separate from enrollment contracts and will be payable under different terms.

More information will be provided soon.

Carpooling
Families can connect with other families about carpooling options. Parent/guardian contact information is available in the directory on the SAS Portal.

Weekend Activities
St. Andrew’s provides transportation for school-sponsored weekend activities, for both participating Upper School day and residential students.

Residential Student Transportation
St. Andrew’s School is happy to provide our residential families with shuttle services to and from Boston’s Logan (BOS) Airport and Providence (PVD) Airport at the beginning and end of each school-recognized break.

For All Residential Student Arrivals from School Breaks:
St. Andrew’s will offer two different shuttle options on the date of arrival/dorm opening following a school break (Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break, and March Break). Shuttle times from Boston’s Logan airport are as follows: 1:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. A St. Andrew’s staff member will be located at the information desk of Terminal E. Shuttle times from Providence’s TF Green airport can be scheduled based on students’ itineraries.

St. Andrew’s cannot guarantee shuttle services outside of these times. Shuttles outside of these times will be assessed a fee. It is important that students travel on designated travel days. Any travel that takes place outside the announced dates must be approved to be excused from academic consequences.

For All Residential Student Departures:
St. Andrew’s will offer two different shuttle options on the date of departure/dorm closure (typically a morning and evening shuttle). Shuttle times will be scheduled based on students’ flight itineraries. In addition, we will provide a single shuttle the morning after the stated departure date that will leave campus at 9:00 a.m.* When planning, please make every effort to travel on the announced dates. Any academic classes or assignments missed due to unapproved travel may impact a student’s academic standing. (*Students who stay on campus overnight to catch the 9:00 a.m. shuttle will be charged a housing fee of $50.)
