Rhode Island’s perspective and possibility widening boarding and day school, grades 6-12 and postgraduate.

Application Process

The admission process at St. Andrew’s is designed to give prospective students ample opportunity to learn about programs and to connect with students, faculty, and staff. Applicants are accepted to grades six through postgraduate on the basis of academic achievement and potential, community commitment and service, and extracurricular activity. An applicant’s admissibility is determined by a holistic review of school records, teacher recommendations, and an interview. St. Andrew’s School seeks to enroll students from a variety of backgrounds, whose unique perspectives enrich life at the school.

Online Decision

On March 10, each candidate who completed an application will be notified of their decision through their online account.

Online Checklist

To help make the application process as simple as possible, the Admission Office assigns all candidates who submit an online inquiry for the upcoming admission year a username to access their St. Andrew’s School account. This account includes an online application checklist and electronic access to the candidate’s admission decision on March 10.
Log on to your account and click on the Admission Progress tab to view the candidate’s application checklist. When you are ready to apply, simply click on Fill Out to activate St. Andrew’s online application. The checklist should be reviewed and checked regularly. Each item on the checklist will have a green check mark next to the item once application materials have been received and processed. Applications and supporting application materials are processed in a timely manner; however, processing may take several weeks from December through January when volume is high.

Please note that if you submit the St. Andrew's School application, you should not also submit the SAO (standard application online), as only one application may be accepted and processed using our online system.

St. Andrew's School asks that you submit all application materials in advance of the February 1 application deadline.
